Many believers want to enjoy close intimacy with God but do not give time to fellowship with Him on a consistent basis.
If we are ever to become more and more acquainted with Him, we must learn to make our time with Him the first priority.
But we all with open faces beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord 2Cor 3:18.
If a husband and his wife are going to develop deeper intimacy, they must continue daily to create time for each other in fellowship.
Don’t make the mistake of giving Him time for a period in fasting and prayers and as soon as you are through, you go on your own and do your own things.
He wants to be a part of your life every day and every time. This is why He gave us a prayer language (the unknown tongue) with which we can fellowship continously with Him.
God will never force us to abide in His presence but He is always looking forward to it.
In my personal experience, I have had times when the Holy Spirit beckoned on me to stay a little longer with Him in prayer. It was like a dear friend unwilling to let you go.
This is where we are renewed from strength to strength. Struggles with sin and the flesh are overcome and we begin to walk in the reality of our dominion.
There will always be lots of activities (which may not necessarily be sinful) that will continue to call for your attention but you must choose between spending time with the Holy Spirit or enjoying yourself without His pleasure.
Those who are hungry enough to put off everything else to be with Him will in time begin to see the fruits of their decision.
Their dominion over sin and satanic forces will become the norm and walking in the miraculous and supernatural will become their lifestyle .
You can begin today to make time with God a priority. The choice is yours.
